What a night here at Arena's! I was honored to fill the great shoes of Dan the Man this past Thursday, and a blast of a time was had by all. Just Add Water had a strong start out of the first round but was lagging in third behind Low Expectations and Dazed and Confused by the half. It continued to be a neck-and neck race right up until the end, but Just Add Water was able to clinch the final question with a full 20-point wager to take first place for the evening, with Dazed and Confused taking second and The Lego Landmines rounding things out in third place. Thanks, Dan, for the honor of taking the reins this past week! In honor of Dan the Man, for extra points in Round 2 Question 1 this week, draw your best rendition of Dan wearing a top hat like the distinguished gentleman that he is. See you all around!! Well, It was a new one for me to host at Arenas Georgetown Airport. Or, for that matter, just being at the Airport. We even had one team from Philly who flew in for Dinner and play the game. Now, that's cool, ehh? The game started with Miltonians taking the On Time Bonus point!! After that, Confidently Wrong went to work and lead the game after Halftime. The Miltonians were also on their game and were in 2nd place. In the second half, Things stayed the same right into Final Bonus. But, in Final Bonus Hogs Breath pulled off the correct arrangement on a BIG wager to take the 1st place prize for the night. Confidently Wrong finished 2nd for the night. A great game tonight! As a friendly reminder I will be gone the next two Thursday's, but have no fear there will still be fully qualified and fun hosts putting on the game in my absence. The first half the teams kept it close and the scores reflected a strong night ahead. After the halftime question it was a tie at the top with the Miltonians and Indecisives. The second half we started to see some separation, but it is always anyones game when I comes down to the final question. Going into the final it was still the Miltonians at the top, just one point ahead of Don't Call Us Old. The final was tricky, but a couple teams came up with the correct answer, and as you can imagine it ended well for them. No one had a better night than Just Add Water as they came up with the correct answer and a 20 point wager making them the big winners tonight. Another great night here at Arena's Georgetown. The teams came out ready to play and tonight's game didn't disappoint. After the halftime question it was a tie at the top with Not All Together and Miltonians. The second half we saw some shifting in the scores, but sometimes things stay the same. Going into the final question it was still a tie Between Not All Together and Miltonians. The final was tricky and Hogs breath came up with the correct answer and 20 point wager making them the big winners, but the story of the night was a 3 way tie for second, after the dust settled from the tie breaker question it was Not All Together. It was a packed house tonight and we had some very smart new teams here as well. The first half flew by as the teams decided to be extra competitive tonight. After the halftime question it was Sr Moments with the early lead. Unfortunately, they had to leave early tonight so we will never know how they would finish. The second half it was up for grabs since the team in the lead had to leave. The rest of the second half the teams kept it close and it would come down to the wire in this one. Going into the final it was Dazed and Confused with Don't Call Us old right on their heels. The final was tricky and only two teams came up with the correct answer, but one of them happened to be Dazed and Confused making them tonight's big winner.
