I think the snow is finally gone and I am back after long meeting at my day job. The teams came out ready to play with a couple new teams in the house. The first half of the game our more seasoned teams made a move towards the top, but the new teams were keeping pace. After the halftime question it was BnL with a small lead. The second half all of the teams turned up their game and were able to pour in the scores. The teams were neck and neck going into the final. LRR had the lead with BnL hot on their heels. The final was tricky but one of the easiest I have ever had to score since every team wagered zero hoping the other teams would stumble. After I had a week off I was ready to come in and host some trivia. The teams came out and were ready to play. The first half it was close and no one took a commanding lead. After the halftime question it was LRR in the early lead. The second half the teams shifted in scoring a little bit. It is almost always anyone's game and tonight was no different. Going into the final question it was BnL in the lead with one question left. In an incredibly non fun ending the top two teams wagered zero and the other teams wagered 20 and came up empty. The snow kept some folks away, but the die hard fans came out to test their wits against each other. The first half of the game flew by as we had the smartest teams in attendance. After the halftime question it was LRR just ahead of BnL. The second half of the game all of the teams brough the scores even closer than they were before. Going onto the final it was truly anyone's game. BnL had a narrow lead but the final can change everything…except it didn't and BnL held on to win tonight's top prize. A nice and busy week this week for trivia. 9 teams came out to see who would rise to the top in useless knowledge. The first half there were some early struggles, but the teams all pulled themselves together and kept it pretty close. After the halftime question it was Sharks at the head of the pack. The second half the teams all had a better showing, pouring in correct answers. The teams prepared themselves for the final question which is always a tricky affair. Going into the final it was The Other Team now in the lead with everyone still right there. The sharks wagered 20 and came up with the correct answer making them this week's winners. The day after Christmas is often a sad time since we have to wait for a whole year to celebrate again, though having a game of trivia always lifts the spirits. The teams were out and still merry as we started the game. After a tough halftime question it was LRR in the lead, with the other teams right on their tail. The second half of the game was a little tricky and the teams did their best to keep pace. Going into the final question it was first timers Rossome in the lead with one question to go. The final was tough and only one team came up with the correct answer and a 20 point wager, it just so happened to be the team that was leading. That means this weeks winners was Rossome!! It's the last game before the holiday season. It was a great turn out and a very close game. The first half flew by and the teams kept it very close all night long. After the halftime question it was Hogs Breath with the early lead, just a couple points ahead of the other teams. The second half of the game it was more correct answers flowing in. Going into our final question it was still Hogs Breath with the narrow lead. A couple teams came up with the correct answer and wagered 20 points, but it was Hogs Breath with the win tonight! A fun and small game tonight. In addition to the teams playing one gentleman at the bar yelling out answers and hitting on wait staff. So once we got over that it was a pretty fun night. The first half the teams kept it close, after the halftime question it was Pinky and the Brain with a narrow lead over the Other Team. The second half the ranking stayed closer, and when it came to the end of the game every team was within striking distance. Pinky and the Brain had a narrow lead going into the final. Tonight's final was about when some common inventions were created. One team came up with the correct answer and a 20 point wager and that usually a good sign.
